Yes. And optionally elements within those. You define how assessment contributes towards the unit mark and grade.
How many users can aPlus+ support?
aPlus+ has no real constraint on users and is not priced by user. All your staff can use aPlus+.
Can aPlus+ integrate with our Student Managment System?
Yes. aPlus+ has been designed with a pluggable architecture that makes it straight forward to connect to your Student Managment System (SMS). Integration with your SMS is not an obstacle. Talk to us to find out more.
Can aPlus+ replace our internally developed assessment management software?
Yes. Many of our existing clients have developed their own solutions, using a variety of light weight database platforms such as Microsoft Access and Filemaker. Typically these solutions have worked adequately in the past, for a few users, but are no longer providing the value required. We have developed comprehensive assessment and results management software so that you don't have to. You can benefit from aPlus+ which incorporates years of development and flexibility to support a variety of customer types. Our customers have found it is cost effective to use aPlus+ than to develop or continue to use their existing solutions.
Apparently our SMS does assessment management?
Often some assessment related functions are provided by your SMS, but these are very limited compared to aPlus+. Your SMS provider will have a list of functions and often that list will not include assessment management because it is not considered to be high enough priority to include on the list. aPlus+ is a solution that your staff really will use to manage their assessment and you can be confident that it does what you need and won't stop you half way.
Our Student Management System provides some assessment management functions - why would we use aPlus+?
aPlus+ is a specialist solution designed to address the need of better managing assessment and results. Some SMS products do provide some assessment and results management functions, but these are not a core component of their product and very often their implementation of assessment and results management functions are leagues behind aPlus+. A gap analysis is required to identify where your present SMS is letting you down. All SMS systems will manage marks and grades but this is different to assessment and results management. aPlus+ is a very powerful but friendly 'must have' solution that needs to be seen in action. aPlus+ exists because there is a need.
Will aPlus+ replace our Student Management System (SMS)?
No. aPlus+ is not a SMS and does not duplicate SMS functionality. aPlus+ provides specialist assessment and results management functionality that your SMS is unable to provide. As a specialist solution aPlus+ developers have put a lot of attention to this one specific aspect of assessment and results management and the aPlus+ product is very powerful compared to what your SMS is likely to provide.
